Get to Know Me: My Skills and Passions

Math

Math to me is -- 'the sports for my mind'! I completed Calculus 1 and 2 at our local university, and you can see on my 'Math' page how I get to do my homework the cool way!

I started competing at my school in 3rd grade and recently achieved the perfect score in AMC 8 (0.04% of all participants nationally).

Research Interests

Another passion of mine is research! I always tinkered around the house, and that led to my first official research project in third grade. Since then, I have worked on projects on diverse topics, such as environmental sustainability with my post-fire tree mortality research and the intersection of chemistry and daily life with my laundry detergent and smart home projects.

I have won several awards at the state level and beyond, but these projects have taught me so much, not just academically but even personally!

Music

Mastering the oboe takes work, but the payoff is incredible! The discipline it teaches goes beyond music, and the range of emotions I can express through this versatile instrument is truly special.

I'm honored to perform with both the Charlotte Symphony Youth Philharmonic and my school band, and even more excited to see where the music takes me next!

Art & Culture

From delicious cookies (still learning!) to team dances, I love to celebrate cultures through dance, food, and art.

Sports and Fun

I am a fun and adventure-loving person! Any challenge gets me going - be it the chessboard, paragliding, or the butterfly stroke when swimming. When not exploring, I find joy in the company of my furry friend - Pixel!
